In the sixth chakra person, a balance is established
between the male, solar principle and the female, lunar
principle. Male energies focus on construction, defense,
ruling, art, literature and physical yogic excercises. Female
energies focus on preservation, enjoyment, healing, protection,
agriculture and meditation. As long as one identifies with
either of these energies, one cannot accept one's dual nature.
But the witness consciousness established in the 6th chakra
is neither male not female. Identification with the witness-Self
is the task at hand. Balancing of the Ida (Lunar) and Pingala
(Solar) nadis offers a practical technique to make that
