army of Ram crossed a bridge to Lanka that was made by another
monkey leader and master architect called Nala. During
the mighty battle with Ravana's forces that followed, Hanuman
defeated the Demon Lankini, who was the principal guard of
the city of Lanka, guarding the gates.
This painting is part of a series
of 50 paintings on the Life
of Hanuman that is currently being made by Sandeep
Johari. Untill the series is finished, the paintings are
not for sale. Reproductions are for sale to support this magnificient
project undertaken by the artist.
